"Hulk" (2003)... Die "Hulk"-Comics wurden zuvor mehrfach fürs Fernsehen und fürs Kino verfilmt... Dann versuchte sich Regisseur Ang Lee (u.a. "Tiger & Dragon") an dem Stoff...
Doktor Bruce Banner, gespielt von Eric Bana (u.a.
Jennifer Connelly (u.a. "Die Reise ins Labyrinth") als Betty Ross,
Nick Nolte als Brian Banner,
Sam Elliott (u.a. "His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass", "The Big Lebowski") als General "Thunderbolt" Ross und Josh Lucas (u.a. "A Beautiful Mind") als Major Glen Talbot,...
Die Dreharbeiten begannen im März 2002...
Der Film startete am 20. Juni 2003 in den US-Kinos und am 3. Juli 2003 in den dt. Kinos...
"Hulk" kommt nochmal...

Quint: [...] what about a potential HULK sequel? Gale Anne Hurd's been going around talking about how you might be The Leader and the main villain of the next one.
Tim Blake Nelson: That's the plan. That's what they tell me, but I don't know when that's happening or what the details are but I am eager to do it and I hear that's in the works. I would tell you if I knew more, but I honestly don't.
Quint: Yeah, but you haven't played a comic-book villain yet right?
Tim Blake Nelson: No, but I had a great time doing HULK, so if they want me for HULK 2 I'm there, it certainly was the plan going into HULK 1. When I met with them they said this is where it's headed so I'm eager to do it. [...]

MTV sprach mit Kevin Feige von Marvel... Earlier this year, "The Incredible Hulk" director Louis Leterrier got the ball rolling with the coolest comic idea since the pencil, telling MTV News that he thought his green hero would make a perfect villain - a conflicted behemoth out to fight each and every one of Marvel's greatest in "The Avengers." "Iron Man" scripters Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus (who are in talks to potentially write another Marvel franchise) told us recently that they couldn't agree more, saying they love nothing more than when "good guys have to fight each other." [...]
"Here's the thing - it is all in the planning stages, but certainly if you look back to any number of 'Hulk' comics, or 'Avengers' comics, or 'The Ultimates' comics or the 'Ultimate Avengers' DVD that we released, it certainly makes a hell of a sequence," Feige said of a possible Hulk vs. Avengers battle, one which Leterrier set up perfectly with the end of his film with the scene depicting Tony Stark counseling a defeated General Ross.
In fact, Leterrier went so far as to call that shot the first scene of "The Avengers" when we chatted in June. For a number of reasons I detailed earlier, actually, it just makes TOO much sense - it wouldn't necessarily require Norton (just a lot of CGI), it would be a viable threat to the already assembled group (which wouldn't require an additional villain's story), and it could dovetail nicely with a "Hulk 2" set-up (which Feige admitted in our chat was something they weren't planning in the moment.)
So it's gotta be, right?
For his part, Feige wouldn't confirm or deny. But - he sure did seem excited.
"To have all of the Avengers going up against a green goliath?" he teased. "I think that would be very cool to see that on the screen." [...]

MTV sprach mit Edward Norton über Hulks ungewisse Zukunft... "Incredible Hulk" star Edward Norton says Marvel Studios isn't giving him any indication they want him to reprise his role as the publisher's green goliath, whether in a solo sequel or team-up project.
"The minds of Marvel are sometimes opaque," Norton told MTV News. "I won't say [they're] obtuse, but I don't have any idea what they want to do."
Norton said he's also been kept in the dark regarding any plans for him, in his role as Hulk's alter-ego Bruce Banner, to appear in Marvel's big team-up project, "The Avengers." The film, which is expected to feature The Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and several other Marvel characters, is currently scheduled for a 2011 release.
"They've got this notion of collecting the Marvel characters," said Norton, who appeared a bit skeptical of Marvel's ambitious plans for the project. "Who knows where they'll go?"

CS! berichtet über die US-Kinocharts... [...] Marvel Studios' The Incredible Hulk (Universal) took another hard hit in its third weekend, dropping 58% to fifth place with $9.2 million. With a total box office take of $115.5 million, it doesn't look like it will surpass the U.S. box office showing of the previous Ang Lee movie, which means we might have seen the end of this superhero franchise for some time. CS! berichtet über die US-Einspielergebnisse... [...] In the second major battle of the month of June, Marvel Studios' second production The Incredible Hulk (Universal), starring Edward Norton, won the weekend over M. Night Shyamalan's 8th film, the apocalyptic horror film The Happening (20th Century Fox) with Mark Wahlberg. The relaunch of the Marvel Comics superhero opened with an estimated $54.5 million in 3,500 theaters after an opening day of $21 million, which is somewhat lower than the $62 million opening of Ang Lee's previous movie back in 2003. Based on the estimates, The Incredible Hulk is on par with other Marvel-based movies The X-Men in 2000 ($54.5 million) and Fantastic Four in 2005 ($56.06 million), but with a production budget of $150 million, it has a ways to go before it might considered a worthwhile endeavor to relaunch the character. In addition to wanting to direct another "Hulk" film, Leterrier would be up for The Avengers as well.

CS! berichtet über die NY Comic-Con... Universal Pictures presented The Incredible Hulk at the New York Comic-Con today where it was revealed that Lou Ferrigno's role in the film is not just a cameo.
Director Louis Leterrier offered Ferrigno a job doing the voice of the Hulk saying "Hulk Smash!" at the panel. We're not sure if he was just joking about that, but Ferrigno is definitely involved.
They also confirmed that Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark will appear in the movie and they showed a clip of Downey Jr. walking into a seedy bar and meeting General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) to talk about his "problem".
They also showed some clips of Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) talking to Ross about being given a "super venom" that would turn him into a "Super soldier".
They showed a bit of that process and then they showed an extended scene of Banner being chased by Ross and the army and fighting with Blonsky (in non-Abomination) form, which makes up a good part of the new trailer that will be in front of Iron Man. [...]

Bei CS! gibt es ein Statement von Edward Norton... [...] Like so many people I've loved the story of The Hulk since I was a kid, so it was thrilling when Marvel asked me to write and help produce an altogether new screen incarnation, as well as play Bruce Banner. I grew up reading Marvel Comics and always loved the mythic dimension and contemporary themes in the stories, and I'm proud of the script I wrote. In every phase of production, including the editing, working with Louis Leterrier has been wonderful...I've never had a better partner, and the collaboration with all the rest of the creative team has been terrific. Every good movie gets forged through collaboration, and different ideas among people who are all committed and respect the validity of each other's opinions is the heart of filmmaking. Regrettably, our healthy process, which is and should be a private matter, was misrepresented publicly as a 'dispute,' seized on by people looking for a good story, and has been distorted to such a degree that it risks distracting from the film itself, which Marvel, Universal and I refuse to let happen. It has always been my firm conviction that films should speak for themselves and that knowing too much about how they are made diminishes the magic of watching them. All of us believe The Incredible Hulk will excite old fans and create new ones and be a huge hit...our focus has always been to deliver the Hulk that people have been waiting for and keep the worldwide love affair with the big green guy going strong.

Wie EW.com meldet, gibt es Stress hinter den Kulissen von "The Incredible Hulk" - wegen der finalen Schnittfassung des Films will Edward Norton keine Werbung dafür machen... [...] Norton and the film's director, Louis Leterrier (The Transporter), campaigned for a longer, more detailed film. Marvel Studios wanted a faster, leaner one. Marvel won. These creative arguments happen in Hollywood a lot but usually remain a secret. This time, they didn't. So Norton isn't talking, and others are ready to lay the blame - well, everywhere. ''It's as much Marvel's fault as it is Edward's,'' Leterrier says. ''And my fault. It's everybody's fault! Or no one's fault, in a way. I regret that [Marvel and Norton] didn't come to an agreement where we could've all worked together.'' [...]
