FILME A-Z
Transformers "Transformers: The Movie" ist eine Live-Action-Verfilmung unter der Regie von Michael Bay (u.a. "The Island", "Pearl Harbor", "Bad Boys")...

1986 kam der Zeichentrickfilm "The Transformers - The Movie" in die US-Kinos...

"Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" startete am 24. Juni 2009 unter dem Titel "Transformers: Die Rache" in den deutschen Kinos... Und "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon" - ohne Megan Fox !!! - kam am 30. Juni 2011 in die deutschen Kinos... Derzeit denkt man laut über Teil 4 und 5 nach...

I am currently not talking to Paramount on T4 and T5 despite reports. I'm looking at a lot of possibilities coming my way right now weighing options. Most likely going to be doing the low budget Pain and Gain, a true story crime thriller. It's a very quick shoot and quite funny. Also just finishing the 3 disc set of the Transformer trilogy. [...]

[07.12.2011] Vulture meldet...
Michael Bay is in final negotiations to direct a new Transformers film, insiders tell Vulture. In recent days, Bay has been assembling a cast for a long-gestating project that even predates Bay’s entry into planet-destroying, Pain and Gain, based on a three-part New Times story about the infamous "Sun Gym gang" a group of dimwitted Miami bodybuilders who kidnapped, tortured and robbed a Florida businessman but got their comeuppance when their left-for-dead victim hires a private eye to hunt them down. Insiders tell Vulture that Bay has been seeking to adapt the sordid revenge tale almost since its publication in 1999, and that it’s proving the major blandishment in getting Bay to commit to launching a new Transformers cycle. "Without Pain, there’s no tit for tat," explains one person familiar with the talks, "That’s Paramount’s leverage."
Another insider familiar with the situation cautioned that while Paramount "does not have a closed deal" with Bay, the studio "is not far from closing" on one either, and that an announcement could come as early as next week. Meanwhile, the details of the next cyborg saga are being kept secret, but we’re told that it is definitely not a prequel, and that it will delve deeper into Transformers canon to mine older characters and lore. "Regular people might not care about bringing out a character like Sentinel Prime," says one of our insiders, referring to the little-known character who played a major part in last summer’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon, "But believe me, fans of the series cared."
If both deals make, we are told that Bay is likely to begin shooting Pain and Gain early almost immediately - as soon as early spring - and then pivot to a new sequence of Transformers by winter 2012. "Spielberg does this all the time," says our insider, "where you’re doing art development and visual effects tests on your next movie while you’re still shooting the current one. The beauty of Michael doing Pain and Gain is that there’s no [technical] complexity to it compared to Transformers." [...]

[18.10.2011] CS! berichtet über weitere Sequels...
Following this morning's report that says a third sequel to 2007's Transformers is in "active discussions," comes word, via Variety that the plan may actually be to shoot a fourth and a fifth film back to back. The same article also states that Shia LaBeouf is unlikely to return and that the franchise may instead place Jason Statham in a leading role, though no official negotiations have begun.
Michael Bay, meanwhile, is said to be interested in returning to direct but, again, nothing is official at this time. No matter what, Bay is likely to complete his next, Pain & Gain, before production on another Transformers would begin, potentially as early as late 2012.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon was an immense financial hit earlier this summer, reaching the fourth spot on the all-time worldwide box office list with $1.119 billion earned.

[05.07.2011] CS! berichtet über die US-Einspielergebnisse...
[...] Opening on Tuesday at 9pm in IMAX and 3D theaters, the movie brought in $5.5 million before midnight screenings, then added another $37.7 million on Wednesday, which was down nearly 39% from the opening of its predecessor Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen two years prior but also the biggest single day gross of 2011 so far. Helped by the four-day holiday weekend, the movie picked up on Friday with roughly $33 million leading to an estimated $97.4 million over the three-day weekend, besting the previous 4th of July record held by Sony's Spider-Man 2 with roughly $88 million. That three-day opening may be down 11% from the previous movie's opening weekend of $109 million, but with a better CinemaScore and reactions from audiences, it certainly picked up business from its opening on Wednesday. Including estimates for the 4th of July Monday, "Dark of the Moon" grossed $116.4 million over the extended four-day weekend bringing its total to $181.1 million for its first six (or so) days. It shouldn't have any problem becoming the first movie of 2011 to cross the $300 million mark.
Only time will tell if it will surpass Revenge of the Fallen's $400 million domestic gross, though. The previous "Transformers" sequel grossed $215 million in its first six days including the non-holiday Monday, while Spider-Man 2 ended up grossing $373 million domestically with a similar amount grossed in its first six days as "Dark of the Moon."
Internationally, Bay's latest brought in $244 million since opening earlier in the week, bringing its six-day worldwide total to $416 million. [...]

[03.07.2011] CS! berichtet über die US-Einspielergebnisse...
[...] Paramount Pictures' Transformers: Dark of the Moon continued dominating the box office on Thursday and Friday, earning $21.5 million and $32.9 million for the two days domestically. That means the Michael Bay film earned $97.6 million in the Tuesday night through Friday frame. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen had earned $127.9 million in the same amount of time (that movie did not have Tuesday night previews).
"Dark of the Moon" is on track to reach $180 million in its seven-day domestic debut and could reach $350 million worldwide. The film has made 60% of its domestic gross from 3D screenings and has received an 'A' CinemaScore from audiences.
The movie [..] had earned $66 million internationally through Thursday. [...]

The first box office numbers for Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon are in. The third installment earned $5.5 million at the 9pm Tuesday night screenings in 2,700 3D theaters and added more 2D screens at midnight to take in $8 million at that time for a total of $13.5 million so far.
The original Transformers debuted on a Monday night with $8.8 million while Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen made $16 million its first night at midnight.
The studio is estimating the movie will make between $155 million to $165 million through the July 4th holiday [...]

[...] Bay acknowledged the difficulties that plagued "Revenge of the Fallen," citing the infamous 2007-2008 writer's strike as a major factor in that film's creative disappointments.
"The second one we had a tough go [of it] because we had a writer's strike," he said. "It was a very, very tough thing to make a movie under those circumstances. It affected a lot of Hollywood at that time."
But Bay's outlook has changed for round three, with the director promising a more grounded and centralized "Transformers" movie than he's ever delivered before.
"We just have, I think, a better story," he said. "It's epic and it happens in a city, so it's more accessible because you recognize stuff; it's not in a desert. It's kind of like 'Black Hawk Down' with our small group of heroes in a city."

[04.12.2010] Via Latino Review kommt der Hinweis auf die folgende Beschreibung des kommenden Teasers...
[...] "Transformers: Dark of the Moon, from the teaser, plays it on conspiracy theories related to the moon landing.
The first part of the movie alternates images of the control room at NASA and of the astronauts on the moon. The landing is what we know well, as are the famous words about the "giant leap for mankind." But we did not know what is the journey of the astronauts on the dark side of the moon, until the control room do not tell them that "... then we are not alone." Then we see some Transformers: the camera comes close to the eye of one of them, which starts to flash. But the camera does not stop, and takes us inside the robot and its mechanisms, making us understand that it's coming back into action.
Difficult to understand the effectiveness of 3D in this movie, no real action. The idea is still pretty well harnessed, we hope that the film is maintained at..." [...]

There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3. We shot the entire movie with 3D cameras. I actually loved shooting in 3D. [11.07.2010] CS! sprach mit dem Produzenten Lorenzo di Bonaventura, u.a. über den Ausstieg von Megan Fox und die Folgen...
[...] One thing we really wanted to get to the bottom of was the sudden departure of Megan Fox from Transformers 3 a few weeks back. They already had a script when Fox and/or the filmmakers decided to part ways (depending on whom you ask), so we wondered how that happened.
"It's one of those things that built to a pressure point," the producer told us. "I think she knew and we did, I think we all tried really hard to make it work together, it just wasn't working."
"Definitely some script chances for sure," he responded when asked about how that departure affected the production. "I wouldn't say a tremendous number, but yeah, absolutely there were some changes, and I think as we're going along, we're discovering new ones we have to make as a result of them."
Earlier in the day, di Bonaventura told a group of journalists that he thinks Transformers 3 will likely be the last installment at least for him and director Michael Bay, even if that doesn't mean Paramount won't reboot the series with new talent down the line. "It may not be the end of the line of Transformers for Hasbro and Paramount, but I would think so. (For) Michael, I'm sure it is. He's spent a lot of years working on one thing." [...]

[11.06.2010] USA Today liefert interessante Infos vom "T3"-Set...
[...] Plot details are under wraps, but it delves into the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets. "The movie is more of a mystery," Bay says. "It ties in what we know as history growing up as kids with what really happened."
While Optimus Prime, Megatron and even Sam all have died and been resurrected, di Bonaventura says this film will have no do-overs: Die, and that's it.
Bay hints that there may be a lot of that. "As a trilogy, it really ends," he says. "It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending."

[26.05.2010] Bei CS! gibt es Neues in Sachen Megan Fox - Ersatz...
[...] GeekWeek broke the scoop last Friday, and Deadline seems to be confirming that Victoria's Secret model (and Jason Statham girlfriend) 23-year-old Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the frontrunner to replace the departing Megan Fox in Michael Bay's Transformers 3.
According to Deadline, Huntington-Whiteley was among the shortlist of three relatively new women to the movie business including Sarah Wright and Brooklyn Decker, the latter being a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who is appearing in Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston's 2011 romantic comedy Just Go With It.
Later in the day, their story was amended to say that Huntington-Whitely, who has absolutely no acting experience except for what she does on the runway during Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows, has gotten the role as long as things don't fall apart in negotiations. [...]

[20.05.2010] TheWrap.com meldet bereits möglichen Ersatz für Megan Fox...
"Prince of Persia" star Gemma Arterton is the front-runner to replace Megan Fox in "Transformers 3," TheWrap has learned.
An individual close to the casting process says the actress has already had discussions with Bay about the coveted role. Other possible replacements for Fox include models Bar Rafaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker.
Paramount has confirmed to TheWrap that the studio decided against picking up Fox's option for the sequel, and an individual close to the production explained that as screenwriter Ehren Kruger was developing the screenplay with director Michael Bay, it made sense for star Shia LaBeouf to have a new love interest. [...]

[19.05.2010] Wie Variety.com meldet, ist Megan Fox raus aus Teil 3...
Paramount is parting ways with Megan Fox on "Transformers 3."
A studio spokeswoman disclosed Wednesday that Par has decided against picking up Fox's option to star as Mikaela Banes in the third installment, but declined to elaborate.
Sources close to the production indicated that Par and director Michael Bay want to take the storyline in another direction and plans to cast another actress as the love interest for star Shia LaBeouf, who plays Sam Witwicky. Those sources indicated that Fox's ouster was un-related to a September interview with a British magazine in which Fox compared Bay with Adolf Hitler.
Bay's directing from a script by Ehren Krueger with the storyline kept under wraps. Working title is "Transformers 3."
Pic, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce, is set to open July 1, 2011. Steven Spielberg is exec producing.
Patrick Dempsey, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and Ken Jeong have signed on to the project. Thesps Kevin Dunn and Julie White will return in the roles of Ron Witwicky and Judy Witwicky.
"Transformers" is Paramount's most valuable franchise, particularly since the studio is the sole financier. The first "Transformers" grossed $709.7 million worldwide, followed by $836.4 million for last year's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."
Initially, Bay had wanted to take a longer break before lensing the threequel, but ultimately decided to meet the studio's summer 2011 release date. [...]

[...] "When I saw the second movie, I wasn't impressed with what we did... There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone... we got lost. We tried to get bigger... Mike went so big that it became too big, and I think you lost the anchor of the movie... You lost a bit of the relationships. Unless you have those relationships, then the movie doesn't matter. Then it's just a bunch of robots fighting each other."
He added that in the third film, "There's going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they're targeting humans... It's going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed." [...]

[12.05.2010] SHH! meldet...
Director Michael Bay says that Skids and Mudflap, which caused some controversy for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, will not be back for next summer's Transformers 3. Bay posted a simple message on his forums stating that "The Twins are not back in T3."
In related news, actress/comedienne Kym Whitley posted on Twitter yesterday that she's part of the cast. "Working on Transformers 3 today, a little nervous...always when starting a new project. I have said the Lords prayer 12 times," she said. [...]

[06.05.2010] Variety.com meldet...
Patrick Dempsey has revealed he's joining the cast of Paramount's "Transformers 3."
In confirming the casting news, Par said director Michael Bay will begin lensing the third pic this month.
Three-quel reteams Bay with franchise stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. "Transfomers 3" is set to unspool in theaters July 1, 2011.
Dempsey will play the boss of Fox's character. Dempsey told reporters in Brazil this week that it's a "dark character."
Dempsey won't be arriving on the "Transformers 3" set right away. First, he'll shoot indie pic "Flypaper," [...]
